Multi-vendor, Multi-domain, Multi-technology Communication Platform
Traditional multi-vendor telecom networks may rapidly become difficult to provision and maintain namely due to the lack of standardisation of most existing equipments parks, and so to the multiplicity of networks, network elements, element managers, and/or services to manage.
Our core product, the MicroResearch MR-MDS creates intelligent communication between the network devices and the OSS/BSS. It hides the complexity of the network to existing or new OSS management applications.
Our MR-MDS solution can interface with vendor's element managers, or directly with NEs. Our system is managing the whole technical information flows between the EMS and/or NEs and management applications (OSS). It performs the adaptation and mediation treatments of all the information exchanged between the OSS layer and the EMS/NE layers. So, the OSS make use of the MR-MDS to dialogue with the Network Elements.
Therefore, it allows a centralised management of heterogeneous equipments.

Key features:
 |
Bi-directional interaction with the network. |
 |
Turn-key Network Element integration. |
 |
Open Interface. |
 |
Enable any OSS/BSS applications to access any NE directly in its own functional domain. |
 |
Scalability and distribution through the use of CORBA middleware. |
 |
Standard compliant interface (Q3, XML, CORBA...). |
 |
... |

It translates generic commands into specific ones.
It sends the requested commands whatever the EMS or NE implied.
It collects specific data flows directly from the NE or through associated EMS.
IT translates specific data flows into standard data usable by management applications.

Key advantages
| Cost savings |
From a single-point you can centraly manage your entire multi-vendor switching and transmission networks.
This results into opex reduction while increasing operational efficiency. |
| Flexibility and Scalability |
Based on a sustainable architecture, the solution has the ability to rapidly extend and support operator's business growth.
New network elements can be easily and rapidly integrated into the system symply by adding the relevant modeling into the application kernel without forcing any changes on the model which supports the existing network element interfaces. |
| Security |
The solution has been successfully deployed by numerous prominent players of the telecom business, e.g. Belgacom, TPSA, Eircom, PLDT, Bemilcom... |
